Nonprofits share a common goal with their for-profit counterparts: they want to close more deals as quickly as possible. But it's not easy these days. Businesses are looking for a more consultative approach from nonprofit partners. And, let's face it, the economy is giving everyone a good excuse not to act quickly.
But you can buck this trend for inertia if you approach the process more like a marathon. That means shortening your stride to meet the long and winding road ahead.

In my cause marketing presentations over the past year I've talked a lot about how the future of cause marketing will thankfully not be just cause products and in-store pinup programs. Thanks to technology, especially mobile technology, cause marketing will happen wherever people are and wherever they care.
